Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and what better way to celebrate it than with good ol’ Mr. Cuppa Joe.
Here’s how to make a beautiful Valentine’s latte.
Note: If you don’t have a frother, you can use a french press, but I’ve linked an inexpensive hand-held, easy-to-use frother from Amazon.
What you will need:
- Freshly brewed espresso (or dark roast coffee)
- Milk
- Starbucks Caramel Syrup or Vanilla extract
- Pink and/or red crystals for garnish (if you want to make it fancy)
- Whipped cream (again, fancy factor)
- Red food coloring (actually important)
- Clear coffee mug (fancy factor AND important)
HERE IS THE RECIPE IN A NUTSHELL. Below the recipe card are details if you need them.
Step 1:
Set aside freshly brewed coffee in something you can pour with later, preferably with a spout. Heat milk, in either microwave or sauce pan.
Step 2:
Add 3 pumps of Starbucks Caramel Syrup and 3 drops of red food coloring. Stir and mix.
Step 3:
FROTHING WITH FRENCH PRESS:
Once the milk mixture is hot, pour it in a french press. Swiftly pump up and down with the plunger for about 30 seconds. You will notice the milk mixture start to foam. REMOVE the lid so it doesn’t separate the foam when you pour. Pour in a latte glass after frothing.
FROTHING WITH A FROTHER:
IF YOU HAVE A FROTHER, POUR THE MILK FROM THE SAUCE PAN IN A CUP AND FROTH – POUR IN A LATTE GLASS AFTER FROTHING.
- BEFORE
- AFTER
Step 4:
Pour the coffee SLOWLY in the latte mug using the round end of the spoon to help pour it slowly.
Step 5:
Whip out that whipped cream and garnish with the pink sugar crystals!
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
ENJOY!!!!

I love drinking lattes and also hot chocolate. This is really too cute to drink and will be perfect for the upcoming Valentines Day!
The best hot milk-flavored drink also nice to see! in short, it also looks romantic, perfect for Valentine’s Day!
I’m not a huge coffee fan unless it’s doctored up and this looks like it would be perfect. Yum!
This would be a cute Valentines day breakfast drink. My husband loves coffee, I bet he would love this. I’ll stick to hot chocolate for mine. Thank you for sharing.
That latte looks almost too pretty to drink. What a nice treat to make yourself or your favorite valentine.
